National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC)

Information on Family Child Care Associations throughout the country and family child care accreditation.


National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)

Information on NAEYC's mission and goals, membership, itemized catalog of all NAEYC publications, public policy issues, and conference schedule and registration.


National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC)

NCCIC's web site provides information for each state in its "state profiles" section. There is information on demographics, staff child ratios, staff qualifications, and useful contacts such as the appropriate state child abuse reporting agency, licensing liaison, child care food program administrator and links to each state's home page. The web page also provides information relating to child care research and funding resources.


National Network for Childcare

Information on a range of topics including child development, nutrition, activities, and books.


National Head Start Association

The National Head Start Association is a private not-for-profit membership organization dedicated exclusively to meeting the needs of Head Start children and their families.


Office of Head Start

Head Start programs and parents visiting the ECLKC will find the latest information on OHS priorities, policies, and programs. The ECLKC also offers tips and promising practices on many early childcare topics including child development, education, and health.
